Heart of the Community has enjoyed another busy month...
with events being held for all ages to raise awareness of our work and location,
and of course help raise funds.

Two funding applications have been submitted this month, and we are hoping to report on these next month.
Heart of the Community would like to say a big thank you to 7 bands in 7 hours for choosing us as one of their charities, with their contribution we have been able to upgrade our kitchen utensils.

AGM
At our recent AGM our members voted unanimously to elect Julie Godwin and Carol Lavery as trustees.
Ian Wakeham, who stood down in accordance with our constitution was re-elected for a further term.
An independent verifier was nominated and approved, and we hope to provide additional information when Heart of the Community has their consent to do so.
❤ A Taste of Greece ❤
Our 21 guests enjoyed a taste of Greek Cuisine. As Heart of the Community was given a small grant from TFF which subsidised the cost if the event.
❤ Spooky party ❤
Our pumpkin pickers were out in force, collecting pumpkins from numerous generous donors. Our sincere thanks to VP Collins, Morrisons in Chippenham, Tesco Calne and Chippenham and the community who donated at Icelands.
Our Spooky Party could not have taken place without your support, and around 70 youngsters would not have had fun carving pumpkins to take home.
Also a big shout out to the community who volunteered from baking cakes to making sure everyone was kept safe.
❤ Saturday Opening ❤ We re super-proud to announce that we are now open 6 days a week, with shorter hours (11am to 2pm) on a Saturday.

Friday 24th December we will be holding a four course Christmas lunch served at 12.30 followed by an afternoon of fun & frolics.
Spaces are limited to 30 people, and we will operating on first come, first served basis.
Children are welcome, and we might have a visit from someone with a wibbly wobbly belly.

Volunteers will also be selling raffle tickets, hand made cards and pre loved books
at the town hall on November 27th, just before the lantern parade.
